Position Summary The Sales Director – Canada will be responsible for driving sales growth and brand presence for
Marucci, Victus, Lizard Skins, and Baum Bats
across the Canadian territory. This individual will develop and manage relationships with key accounts, team dealers, retailers, and specialty partners while executing sales strategies that align with company objectives. The Sales Director will act as the primary point of contact for Canadian customers and work closely with internal teams to ensure revenue targets, distribution goals, and service standards are achieved.
Position Responsibilities
Sales & Account Management
Achieve sales targets and expand distribution across Canada for all four brands.
Manage existing dealer and retail accounts while identifying new opportunities in the territory.
Develop and execute sales plans, promotions, and seasonal booking programs.
Provide product training and brand education to accounts to maximize sell‑through.
Territory Development
Establish and grow relationships with team dealers, sporting goods retailers, independent stores, and key influencers.
Actively prospect new customers and channels to expand market share.
Monitor competitor activity and provide market feedback to leadership.
Customer Support & Service
Serve as the main point of contact for Canadian accounts, ensuring timely communication and follow‑up.
Partner with customer service, operations, and marketing to deliver an excellent customer experience.
Assist accounts with merchandising, assortment planning, and inventory management.
Reporting & Forecasting
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market updates.
Track sales performance and analyze trends to recommend adjustments to strategy.
Manage budgets, travel, and expense reports in line with company policies.
Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
Strong knowledge of the Canadian retail landscape, including team dealers, big box, and independent accounts.
Proven track record of building and growing a territory.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
Self‑motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently.
Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, and reporting tools.
Position Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field.
Experience
3–5+ years of sales experience.
7 - 12 years of experience managing Sales or Customer Service in sporting goods, consumer products, or related industries (baseball/softball experience preferred).
