Job Description
As Director of Product Management for Stretch Film, you will own the strategy & roadmap for the Stretch Film Product Line. You’ll lead cross‑functional execution with Sales, R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to deliver profitable growth, disciplined portfolio management, and differentiated product launches—while elevating price realization, mix, and service performance.
This is a high‑impact, visible role for a strategic thinker who thrives in a technical, customer‑focused environment and can mobilize teams without direct authority.
Key Responsibilities Strategy & Market Leadership
Develop and communicate a 1‑ and 3‑year strategy for the Stretch Film business, translating market and competitor insights into clear priorities and investment cases.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product requirements and differentiated value propositions.
Identify growth opportunities and define strategic investment plans.
Portfolio & Ownership
Own the product line P&L; drive price discipline, margin expansion, and mix optimization in partnership with Sales, Finance, and Operations.
Lead portfolio simplification and SKU rationalization to reduce complexity and improve profitability.
Partner with Supply Chain, Sourcing, and Operations to optimize raw material sourcing and cost position.
Roadmap Execution & Launches
Prioritize R&D resources to the highest‑impact programs; manage all aspects of new product launches from concept to commercialization.
Build and deliver launch plans, including value propositions, pricing, training, and post‑launch reviews.
Commercial Enablement & Customer Focus
Equip Sales and Customer Service with product positioning, competitive intelligence, and training.
Participate in key customer meetings and industry events to drive growth.
Lead cross‑functional teams to resolve quality and service issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and protecting business economics.
Operations & Capacity
Align with Operations on capacity planning, technology choices, and process improvements to enhance yield, throughput, and cost efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field required; MBA preferred.
7+ years of product management experience in manufacturing, packaging, or related industrial sectors, or equivalent commercial/finance/operations experience.
Proven ability to drive strategy, pricing, and commercialization across cross‑functional teams.
Strong technical mindset, customer focus, and strategic thinking.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication, organizational, and meeting facilitation skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Willingness to travel up to 30%.
