Position Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist (Full‑time, Tenure‑Track Faculty, Assistant Professor or Advanced Assistant Professor)

Overview The Humphrey School of Public Affairs seeks a faculty member in the field of social policy with a specialization in domestic (U.S.) applied policy areas of labor or public economics.

The successful candidate will support the Master of Public Policy (M.P.P.) and other master’s‑level professional degrees, as well as the Ph.D. in Public Affairs program.

The appointment will begin on August 24, 2026 or as soon thereafter as possible.

Responsibilities

Develop an innovative and socially impactful research portfolio addressing contemporary questions related to social policy.

Teach graduate‑level courses in policy analysis, microeconomics, quantitative methods, and in the candidate’s area of expertise.

Lead and mentor graduate students, providing guidance on research and career development.

Contribute to the long‑term capacity of the School as a center of excellence through collaborative, interdisciplinary scholarship.

Engage with the broader community to enhance the School’s impact on public policy practice.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in economics, public policy, public affairs, or related field required by the time of employment.

Demonstrated potential to conduct innovative, socially impactful research in labor or public economics.

Experience with quantitative methods and a commitment to interdisciplinary, engaged scholarship.

Teaching experience in graduate‑level policy and quantitative courses preferred.

Salary and Benefits Compensation:

Base pay range $90,000.00–$110,000.00 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
