Position Summary
This position supports the Sensor Test Solutions (STS) Department at a leading defense contractor. The Test Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and integration of advanced test platforms and architectures used across multiple programs. The role involves hands‑on work with automated test equipment (ATE), electrical test systems, and cross‑functional collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop test hardware, software, and firmware from requirements definition through deployment.
Support test disciplines including power, analog, digital, and RF.
Lead small engineering teams, managing technical execution and reporting project status (cost and schedule) to leadership.
Identify and resolve test readiness issues throughout the development lifecycle.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers and suppliers on test adapter design and integration.
Ensure adherence to project budgets, schedules, and performance goals.
Support manufacturing operations with on‑site troubleshooting and debugging.
Present technical work clearly in project status meetings and design reviews.
Participate in continuous technical development and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical design and test development across multiple disciplines (Power, Analog, Digital, RF).
Proficiency with LabVIEW and NI TestStand for automated test development.
Strong understanding of test system architecture and integration.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with embedded software or firmware development.
Familiarity with commercial off‑the‑shelf (COTS) automated test equipment and custom electro‑mechanical fixtures.
Prior experience in the defense or aerospace industry.

Location 100% Onsite, Tewksbury, MA
Shift 1st Shift | 9/80 Schedule (Every other Friday off)
Duration 1-Year Contract (Potential to extend or convert to permanent)
Security Clearance Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (Interim clearance acceptable to start)
Compensation (Based On Experience)
2+ years: $55–$60/hour
5+ years: $60–$75/hour
8+ years: $75–$85/hour
