AV Installation & Sales Technician We’re seeking a hands‑on

AV Installation & Sales Technician

who can deliver high‑quality smart home and audio‑visual solutions for our clients. The role focuses on installation and technical expertise— from wiring and mounting to system setup and troubleshooting—while also engaging with clients during consultations and helping shape solutions that fit their needs. Some sales and proposal work is part of the role, but your main responsibility is ensuring seamless installations and exceptional customer experiences.

This position is full‑time and requires regular travel throughout the San Francisco Bay Area to meet clients on‑site and complete installations in homes and businesses.

Responsibilities

AV & Smart Home Installation

– Install and configure home theaters, TVs, speakers, audio systems, whole‑home Wi‑Fi, smart lighting, climate control, automation, and security systems with professional cabling and setup.

Client Consultation & Support

– Meet with clients to assess needs, recommend tailored solutions, train them on system use, and provide ongoing technical support.

Relationship Building

– Deliver high‑quality work that builds trust, strengthens client relationships, and generates referrals to grow the business.

Qualifications

Experience & Skills

– Sales background in smart home/AV tech with solid technical knowledge of networking, AV systems, and low‑voltage wiring; industry certifications or platform experience (Lutron, Control4, Ubiquiti, etc.) a plus.

Professional Qualities

– Strong communicator with a customer‑first mindset, able to manage projects independently, stay organized, and maintain accurate documentation.

Requirements

– Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and industry tools (hand tools, testers, power tools) preferred.
