We are looking to hire a Senior Director, Supplier Quality to join the team based at our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland. The position is hybrid eligible (50% onsite per month).

Position Overview Reporting to the VP of QA and Reg for the Americas, the Senior Director, Supplier Quality plays an integral leadership role in winning and maintaining business for an operating unit or significant business segment. Responsible for providing a broad range of quality and technical services or professionals to ensure compliance with McCormick policies and procedures. Formulates and administers guidance on key issues. Assures the uniform alignment and execution of guidance across areas of influence including, but not limited to, Supplier Quality, Quality and Food Safety for External Co‑Manufacturing and Warehousing.

Key Responsibilities

Key leadership and accountability for regulatory and quality compliance for global formulas, global ingredients and food labeling for countries, regions or areas supported. Sets and defends boundaries.

Serves as the senior leader in setting global functional and business strategy. Able to effectively align, motivate, and develop multiple high performing teams to successfully execute those strategies.

May serve as a member of the unit's Recall Committee and/or as the Recall Coordinator, with responsibility for documenting all investigation activities and flowing corporate notification /recall procedures and regulatory procedures.

Defines functional unit performance standards; participates in setting the priorities for functional area data and analytic needs.

Ensures company profitability by mitigating risk through proactive process management and procedures. Maintains the organization’s state of compliance and certification, while focusing on continuous improvement. Manages changing internal and external requirements.

Attracts, maintains and develops high talent staff. Assesses staffing needs and negotiates for resources. Defines performance standards and holds staff and self accountable. Earns credibility as a leader. Facilitates groups to achieve goals.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline

Certification focused on Quality and Food Safety for Supply Chain - PCQI (or HACCP based on region), GFSI scheme (i.e. SQF, BRC)

Prevoius management experience required

15+ years preferred Demonstrated performance and potential in a quality role

Experience in at least two Quality focus areas (Customer, Operations, Regulatory, Supplier, External Co‑Manufacturing, Global CoE) or related function, including Supply Chain, Product Development preferred

Supplier QA/Co‑Man QA experience strongly preferred

Project Management/ Change Management experience preferred

Experience in the Food/Flavor Industry preferred

Advanced ability to influence others, inside and outside the organization, and with Strategic vendors/customers

Clear and persuasive communciation, conflict resolution, relationship building, vision and strategic thinking, change leadership, coaching and development, accountability for integrity, cross-cultural influence, catalyst for collaboration and driver for continuous improvement

This leader is connected to industry boards and external industry networks to increase awareness of trends and best practices

Strong mentoring and coaching ability for staff

Ability to travel 25%

Base Salary: $140,610-253,080

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Sales Incentive Bonus (SIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Dividend Program.
