This position is in the Division of Blind Services, located at the Career, Technology & Training Center for the Blind & Visually Impaired (CTTC). The incumbent will provide direct and online instruction in Web Accessibility and must be willing to learn coding in HTML, CSS, & Java Script. The incumbent will train on internet browsers (Edge, Chrome, Firefox) and tools used with screen readers and magnifiers. The incumbent will provide technological training to Division and contractual staff as needed. Duties and Responsibilities

The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) has an open position that is responsible for executing the following functions: Maintain and practice a current understanding of FDOE and DBS policies and guidelines regarding information security. Train using adaptive software including introduction to computer keyboard and use of various programs such as Windows, Word, Outlook, and the Internet. Perform other teaching duties as assigned. Conduct initial evaluation of clients referred for training to determine the level of skills, knowledge, and readiness for web accessibility training. Maintain records of goals, participation in class, and progress of each student. Prepare timely student progress reports. Develop lesson plans that reflect the daily objectives needed to meet established goals. Perform routine maintenance of equipment and supplies, keeping inventory in good repair and making purchases as needed. Attend workshops and conferences for professional growth; participate in public education as needed and serve as a resource person for staff, students, and the public. Recommend ancillary services such as audiology, low vision, and physical therapy, which would enhance students\' program. Assist in training volunteers or interns assigned to the Center. Provide vision rehabilitation training as needed to meet the student demand for service. Provide class coverage in the absence of instructional staff. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

The incumbent must interact courteously with others. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a field of study reasonably related to vocational rehabilitation, or four years of professional and relevant experience in a public vocational rehabilitation program. Preference will be given to those with a bachelor’s degree. Preferred Qualifications
A bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university. Three to five years’ experience in a public vocational rehabilitation program. An ability to establish and maintain education and experience requirements to ensure an understanding of the evolving labor force and the needs of individuals with disabilities.
