Construction Project Management Consultant Banner Health is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee capital and renovation projects across the system.

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Department: Design & Construction

Shift: Day; Monday–Friday 8‑hour shifts, flexible start 6‑8 am.

Remote: Primarily work from home, office 2 days/week, travel to sites as needed. LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY.

Responsibilities

Manage small to medium projects $250k–30m, 10–15 projects concurrently, or a single large project 30–100m. Assist with very large projects 100–350m.

Lead project teams, architects, contractors; conduct team meetings and maintain communication.

Evaluate and address potential project issues ahead of construction to minimize operational disruption.

Develop project schedules, track project costs and budgets, and mitigate risk through quality, scope, safety and regulatory compliance.

Coordinate system and facility resources to align with facility project goals and system priorities.

Maintain all project documents (RFIs, change orders, testing reports, lien notices, purchase requisitions) and approve contractor pay applications and change orders within limits.

Ensure compliance with JCAHO, safety and code requirements on all projects.

Work closely with other IT, Tech Management, facility directors, physicians, architects, contractors, vendors and regulatory agencies.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or related field.

Five years of progressive healthcare construction project management experience; proven ability to direct and manage multiple resources and projects.

Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; ability to motivate and negotiate with conflict resolution.

Proficiency in reading blueprints, specifications, contracts, building codes and project tracking tools.

Ability to compute job costs, prepare and monitor project budgets, schedule and use typical contracts and agreements.

Independent judgment and confidentiality maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional related education and/or experience.
