Position Principal Software Development Engineer – OCI Platform Service
Location: Nashville, TN (5 days/week onsite). Relocation assistance provided. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
Own and develop set of features available through the service.
Mentor junior software engineers on the team.
Solve difficult problems in distributed systems, infrastructure, and highly available services.
Collaborate with Platform Engineering, Business Partners, and Operations Engineering to deliver a highly available product to our customers.
Minimum Qualifications
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience delivering and operating large software systems at scale.
Proficient in Java; familiarity with at least one of Python, C++, C#, or Go.
Experience building scalable, cloud‑native distributed systems.
Experience developing service‑oriented architectures and web services solutions.
Ability to work in a collaborative, cross‑functional team environment.
Understanding of REST architecture and JSON.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with production operations and best practices for quality code in production.
