Security Cloud Consultant, Professional Services, Google Cloud
Join Google’s Cloud Consulting Professional Services team to help customers adopt secure, scalable cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). In this role you will provide deep technical security expertise, guide customers through secure cloud transformations, and collaborate with product and engineering groups to enhance Google Cloud products.
Responsibilities
Work with customer development leads, client executives, and partners to manage and deliver successful cloud security architectures, serving as a cloud security and compliance subject‑matter expert and trusted advisor throughout the engagement.
Collaborate with internal specialists, product, and engineering teams to package approaches, best practices, and lessons learned into thought leadership, methodologies, and published assets.
Interact with sales, partners, and customer technical stakeholders to manage project scope, priorities, deliverables, risks and issues, and timelines for successful client outcomes.
Travel approximately 30% of the time for client engagements.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of experience in architecting, developing, or maintaining secure cloud solutions.
Experience with network security, data security, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
Experience managing internal or external customer‑facing projects to completion while working with cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in cloud security within a customer‑facing role.
Experience with cloud environments.
Experience in security architecture or security engineering.
Experience implementing FedRAMP, PCI, or HIPAA security requirements in a cloud environment.
Experience with attacks and mitigation methods across multiple domain areas, including network protocols, web application security, penetration testing, authentication and access control, applied cryptography, security monitoring, incident response, and security tool development or automation.
Excellent communication, written, presentation, and problem‑solving skills.

This position requires deep technical security experience, industry experience, and high visibility at the executive level of customer organizations, including frequent interaction with CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, and GCP executive leadership.
Compensation US base salary range: $123,000 – $176,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
