Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced
Industrial Fitter
to join our team. The Fitter will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing structural components. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial fitting principles, be proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings, and possess excellent welding and metalworking skills.
Responsibilities
Prepare, layout, fit, finish, and repair complex fabrications according to work packages and product specifications.
Work under the guidance of the shop superintendent to adhere to production schedules.
Perform fit test evaluations, including cutting, beveling, and fitting tasks.
Ensure the finished product meets pass/fail acceptability standards.
Bring personal tools such as a tape measure, square, center punch, hammer, striker, and grinder.
Essential Skills
Proven experience in fitting or a similar metalworking role.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Familiarity with fitting materials, tools, and equipment.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Fit Test Details
You’ll be asked to:
Cut a
13” circle
out of an
18 x 18 x 3/8” plate
.
Bevel the circle at
22 ½ degrees
.
Fit the circle back into the plate
flush with a ¼” root opening
.
Strong back the circle to the back side so it’s ready for weld.
This test ensures you can read drawings, use a torch, and execute with precision

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
