General Rehabilitation Attending Physiatrist, Shirley Ryan AbilityLab
Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, in partnership with the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor.
Job Summary The role includes providing inpatient and outpatient care primarily at SRALab, as well as inpatient rehabilitation consultations at an affiliated acute care hospital.
Responsibilities
Deliver clinical care to patients with a variety of neurological and medically complex conditions, including musculoskeletal care.
Assume responsibility for patients’ clinical quality, safety, outcomes and satisfaction.
Advocate a scientific approach to patient care delivery.
Participate in assigned Hospital and Department Committee work.
Engage in research activities.
Teach medical students, residents, and fellows as part of medical education.
Qualifications
Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Illinois.
Completed an accredited residency program in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
Board certified or board eligible in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, referring parties, hospital executives, treatment team members, and staff.
Strong analytical skills for effective communication.
Compensation Pay range starts at $260,000 annually; final offer may be negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
Start Date Negotiable. Position remains open until filled.
