Starting salary range is $90,700–$94,000.

Responsibilities

Lead epidemiologic analyses under the direction of a senior epidemiologist and branch leadership.

Conceive projects, execute analyses, present findings, and draft reports and manuscripts.

Develop, produce, disseminate, and maintain summary data products (e.g., reports, dashboards) for a wide variety of audiences.

Manage large datasets, including creating base code for cleaning and analyzing.

Provide assistance to other epidemiologic projects and serve as an epidemiology liaison to local health jurisdictions in California.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, or a closely related field.

Minimum 3+ years of directly relevant experience.

Proficiency in SAS, R, or a relevant statistical analysis language.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or RShiny.

Experience using SQL.

Experience working with large healthcare claims or laboratory reporting datasets.

Experience working at a state or local health department.

Knowledge and experience with tuberculosis.

Experience with public health surveillance data.
