Cardiothoracic Surgery Opportunity in Northwest Georgia with AdventHealth

AdventHealth Redmond is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our nationally recognized program in Northwest Georgia. The ideal surgeon will have a strong interest in thoracic surgery and program development with the ability to maintain a cardiac surgery mix. This is a unique opportunity to work in a high-performing, faith-based health system committed to whole-person care.
Our physicians enjoy full access to an expert team of caregivers including medical oncology, radiation oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, interventional neurology, radiology and an experienced OR staff and support including advanced practice providers.
Key Highlights
Focus on all aspects of general thoracic surgery with the ability to maintain cardiac surgeries depending on physician’s interest
Collaborative surgical partners with a focus in cardiac and structural heart
Strong APP Support
CT Navigator Support
12‑Bed designated ICU
Established lung clinic program
Robotics program with state‑of‑the‑art equipment
Responsibilities
Perform a full range of adult cardiothoracic procedures including thoracic surgeries, CABG, and valve repair/replacement
Help lead and grow our thoracic program throughout our Georgia market
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including cardiologists, pulmonologists, and critical care physicians
Contribute to quality improvement and clinical outcomes initiatives
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited institution
Board‑certified or board‑eligible through the American Board of Thoracic Surgery
Eligible for Georgia medical licensure
Passion for growing a thoracic surgery program
