Responsibilities

As a valued member of our team, you will:

Provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management of patient/family needs throughout the disease process as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team.

Work in collaboration with the attending supervising/collaborating physician(s) in accordance with state law and hospital regulations, hospital policy, protocols, and clinical pathways, and may provide autonomous team‑based care.

Obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, review/ order diagnostic/ therapeutic tests and radiologic results, chemotherapy prescribing, formulate and manage patient treatment plans.

Educate patients and families on care and available resources, discharge plans, etc.

Provide psychosocial support to patients, families and significant others.

Opportunity to serve in the OR as surgical assist.

Qualifications Education

Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or an accredited Physician Assistant Program.

Experience

1-2 years Oncology experience preferred.

Chemotherapy experience is desirable.

Active, unrestricted CT medical license or in process of obtaining.

BLS Certification.

DEA License.
