Manager, Supply Chain PMO (Project Management)
Overview
The PMO (Project Management Office) Manager will provide effective management and leadership of key strategic cross-functional projects across Supply Chain. Responsibilities include developing project action plans for project scope and scheduling, providing status reports and scorecard updates, and sharing lessons learned to project stakeholders and leadership. The candidate should be highly organized, intellectually curious, and comfortable leading conversations with leaders within Supply Chain.
Responsibilities
40% Project Control – Develops an effective plan for controlling project scope, schedule and cost, and monitors project execution to ensure that the plan is being followed. Creates and coordinates documentation to explain changes or potential changes to the baseline and ensures the approved changes are implemented. Maintains project logs of all submitted changes and their status.
30% Project Communications – Develops an effective plan for communicating project information to the project team and stakeholders. Develops written status reports and scorecards and creates/presents project review documents to senior leadership. Collects and documents project issues and manages their timely resolution.
10% Project Risk Management – Leads the definition of project risks and the required mitigation approaches. Monitors project activities for the occurrence of risks and takes timely action to escalate or mitigate the risk. Advises project team members and stakeholders of actions required or completed.
10% Project Lessons Learned – Captures key lessons learned at project completion or phase completion and communicates to peer Project Managers. Applies lessons learned in subsequent projects.
10% Project Environment – Shares responsibility with project leadership for providing a good working environment. Ensures teams are staffed, duties and responsibilities are understood, and an inclusive environment is maintained.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports
Reports to Sr. Manager, Director, Sr. Director or VP
Typically requires interpersonal skills for dealing with sensitive or controversial situations
Typically faces unstructured situations requiring original approaches
Typically considers new courses of action within broad policies and medium-term goals when solving problems
Typically, once given general assignments, determines priorities and defines what should be done and how to do it
Travel Requirements
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time
Physical Requirements
Frequent periods of standing or sitting in the same location with some movement; occasional light lifting ( Working Conditions
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable
Under regular pressure to meet deadlines and deal with difficult issues related to people or situations
