General Responsibilities:
The Senior Marketing Business Partner leads the marketing development within the western part of the United States for Terracon, covering Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho. This individual is a member of the national corporate marketing team and one of three marketing business partners reporting to the CMO. They are 100% dedicated to elevating the marketing team within the region through best practices for pursuit development, event strategy, research, digital marketing practices, and other responsibilities. The role is both strategic and hands-on, spending time supporting marketing professionals with the development of marketing communications materials and proposal and pursuit execution, while also guiding the elevation of marketing programs across offices.
Essential Roles And Responsibilities:
Build relationships with marketing and client development teams, connecting staff and advising on tools, best practices, and available resources (marketing tools and collateral, public relations, CRM enhancements, digital campaigns).
Serve as the marketing leader overseeing consistency efforts in operations, including quality control, onboarding strategy, training and resources, overall marketing structure, and leadership development.
Communicate growth strategies and marketing tactics developed for growth areas (sectors and services) at the national level to be adopted by regions and local offices. Act as a thinking partner for marketing professionals and senior leaders.
Partner across corporate marketing and communications to engage resources and support in digital, PR, graphic design, etc., bringing those resources into operations strategically.
Collaborate with operating group client development teams on priority major pursuit strategy—activities, proposals, interview coaching, national team connection, and mentoring—ensuring deadlines are met with high quality.
Coach and mentor teams on coordinating war rooms, building pursuit teams, establishing goals, and managing the team to increase chances of winning major pursuit projects.
Collaborate with operations leadership to develop and drive marketing plans aligned with regional business and growth plans.
Serve as a subject matter expert and quality reviewer in developing and strategizing pre-sell materials, statements of qualifications, presentations, etc.
Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects and processes, monitoring quality standards and practices.
Champion all initiatives affecting client development and marketing.
Stay at the forefront of latest research, trends, and industry topics; combine knowledge with research training to provide regional market data.
Organize, communicate, and track national thought leadership and award efforts.
Develop understanding of project-related risks, familiar with company risk policies.
Assist the M&A team with marketing perspectives and lead marketing-specific tasks of acquisition integration plans.
Lead safety efforts for the team and ensure compliance with safety rules and guidelines.
Requirements:
Candidate must be located within one of the western territory states above.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field and 12 years of related experience, or 16 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Demonstrated experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.
Master’s degree preferred.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
Preferred Certification:
Certified Professional Services Marketer
Remote Only. This position requires no designated office workspace; employees typically work from home or another location. The national standard salary range is $101,200–$156,900, adjusted for specific applicant location. Final compensation is based on qualifications and experience.
