Our Higher Education sector seeks an experienced Project Manager with broad expertise and a focus on higher education. The candidate should be enthusiastic about advancing HED’s commitment to critical thinking, integrated practice, and design excellence. Lead teams in all aspects of professional services, maintaining liaison between project team, client, consultants, contractors, and authorities. Spearhead team efforts to achieve design excellence, establishing project goals, defining and executing strategies, and tracking results. Lead and facilitate all project activities from marketing through design, permit, bid, construction, and post-construction evaluation. Manage day-to-day client relations and project activities, including fee and contract negotiations, planning, schedule development, scope and financial management, quality reviews, and staffing workplans. Qualifications
Minimum ten years of professional experience in the architecture & engineering industry. Experience with higher education projects in the US required. Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering. Professional licensure required. Experience in project financial and risk management. LEED accreditation preferred. Extensive knowledge of all aspects of professional A/E services from business development through project close-out. Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills. Strong leadership and teamwork skills. Proactive, self‑motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible. Strong business acumen and strategic outlook with attention to detail. Physical Requirements
Travel to and from project sites locally and across the US. Access existing and new project sites for observation, investigation, and evaluation. Use office equipment for communication and documentation. Visual acuity to perform responsibilities. EEO Statement
