Position Overview A prominent investment firm is seeking a seasoned finance leader to oversee the accounting and reporting functions for its credit investment platform. This individual will be responsible for managing fund operations, financial reporting, audits, and investor communications across a diverse set of credit-focused vehicles. The role also includes strategic involvement in product development and operational enhancements as the platform continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities

Direct the end-to-end financial reporting cycle for multiple credit funds.

Manage relationships with third-party fund administrators, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.

Lead annual audit processes and coordinate with external auditors.

Review and approve capital account statements, financials, and performance metrics.

Oversee capital call and distribution workflows, including waterfall and allocation reviews.

Partner with legal, tax, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to fund documentation and internal policies.

Support valuation processes and ensure consistency in reporting methodologies.

Assist with structuring and monitoring fund-level financing arrangements.

Collaborate with tax advisors on investor tax reporting and entity-level structuring.

Work closely with investor relations to develop and refine marketing materials, presentations, and investor updates.

Ensure financial disclosures in external communications are accurate and compliant.

Contribute to fund structuring discussions, including modeling, terms, and tax considerations.

Participate in meetings with legal counsel, placement agents, and internal stakeholders to support fundraising and product launches.

Serve as a senior point of contact for investor inquiries and operational questions.

Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on operational improvements and scalability.

Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of excellence and accountability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation or progress toward certification preferred.

Minimum of 12 years of experience in investment management, with a focus on private credit, structured finance, or syndicated lending.

Background in public accounting or audit (Big 4 experience preferred).

Familiarity with regulatory reporting under the Investment Company Act of 1940 is a plus.
