We are seeking a Certified Activities Director to join our team! The Activity Director will coordinate the entire activity program within the facility, ensuring residents’ needs, interests, and abilities are met. The role enriches residents’ lifestyles by promoting a high level of constructive and quality leisure time activities and works closely with facility operators and staff to create a home‑like atmosphere.
Location: San Antonio, TX | Salary: $6,377.50 – $9,267.38
Responsibilities
Develop and promote recreation programs including music, dance, arts and crafts, cultural arts, nature study, social recreation and physical and mental stimulation exercises.
Keep abreast of current community events and utilize available resources.
Organize and maintain daily and monthly activity schedules; inform and assist residents regarding activities.
Develop resident council/grievance committee to encourage resident involvement and ensure residents’ rights.
Supervise volunteer support.
Qualifications
Activity Director Certification required.
Previous nursing home experience preferred.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
