We are looking for a Solution Architect with strong expertise in the insurance industry to design and implement scalable, secure, and high‑performing technology solutions. The ideal candidate will work with business and technical teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions across underwriting, claims, policy administration, customer engagement, and digital transformation. This role focuses on aligning IT strategy with business goals to drive innovation and growth.
Location and Salary Danbury, CT; $150,000 - $160,000
Required Skills & Experience
12+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years as a Solution Architect in the insurance domain.
Strong knowledge of insurance business processes – underwriting, claims, policy lifecycle, reinsurance, and customer servicing.
Hands‑on experience with insurance platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, or similar.
Expertise in enterprise integration using SOAP/REST APIs, ESBs, microservices, and event‑driven architecture.
Experience with cloud platforms – AWS, Azure, or GCP – and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Practical understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD implementations.
Familiarity with data architecture, analytics, and regulatory compliance in the insurance industry.
Knowledge of digital insurance technologies such as chatbots, telematics, AI/ML, and self‑service portals.
Working experience with core systems in Life or P&C insurance.
Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the insurance sector.
TOGAF or similar Enterprise Architecture certification preferred.
