Program Timeline
Orientation – 1 Week: Learn Lowe’s policies, benefits, business strategy, and culture; explore tech processes and systems.
Bootcamp – 8 Weeks: Fast‑paced learning in targeted discipline, structured curriculum, coaching, skills assessments, individual & group projects.
Rotations – 12 Months: Rotations in different areas of tech, hands‑on experience, professional development.
Final Placement: On completion of Launchpad, matched with a tech team to continue advancing career and driving changes.
Job Description
Assist with translating business requirements and specifications into code modules and software solutions, providing insight and recommendations for technical solutions.
Configure, build, test, and debug application components by leveraging various software development methodologies and programming languages.
Participate in developing core modules, code reviews, and transitions of application components to engineers.
Implement and maintain business software solutions to ensure successful deployment of released applications with guidance from senior colleagues.
Develop software using modern technologies while following company‑wide guidelines and standards; solve technical problems and refine solutions based on feedback from senior engineers.
Participate in agile ceremonies to discuss action items and provide updates.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Completion of coursework or program focused on software development or related skills (e.g., bootcamp, certification program, coding academy).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field.
1 year of experience in software development or related field.
1 year of experience working on projects applying development life cycles (SDLC).
1 year of experience with database technologies.
1 year of experience developing and implementing business systems within an organization.
1 year of experience working with defect or incident tracking software.
1 year of experience writing technical documentation in a software development environment.
1 year of experience with Web Services.
Experience with application and integration middleware.
