Responsibilities and Duties
Expected to devote part of your time to formal and informal instruction of medical students and graduate trainees in Surgery.
Expected to mentor fellows, students, residents, and faculty, participate in resident teaching and education, attend division conferences, participate in national organizations, continue to produce scholarly output, and uphold the code of conduct for faculty.
Participate in the department's weekly mortality and morbidity conference, the staff and resident education conference, the Department of Surgery faculty meetings, grand rounds, and the division of HPB/GI faculty meetings.
Clinical
Expected to provide clinical services commensurate with your skills in Hepatobiliary Surgery and Surgical Oncology Gastrointestinal at a clinical commitment of 25% effort (~1.5 days/week).
Research
You will dedicate 75% of your time to research in the Vogelstein Lab. The expectation is to secure extramural funded support by year 2 and onwards to support protected time.
Quality Improvement
Responsible for quality improvement and assurance efforts in your division.
Citizenship
Must fulfill all obligations as indicated by the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Gold Book and Clinical Practice Association (CPA).
Salary Range The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary.
