LGL Technologies
Key Responsibilities
Lead architecture and development of enterprise-scale platforms in
Java and Python
within
Capital Markets or large global banking environments . Design and build highly available, low-latency systems for trading, pricing, risk, or regulatory reporting use cases. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quants, Traders, Data Engineers, and DevOps to design secure, performant solutions. Drive adoption of engineering best practices including
CI/CD
,
TDD
,
code reviews
, and
agile methodologies . Act as technical authority in architectural decision-making, including microservices, messaging frameworks, and integration patterns. Guide modernization efforts from legacy monoliths to cloud-native architectures using containerization and orchestration technologies. Oversee engineering quality and mentor junior and mid-level developers across distributed teams. Ensure systems meet non-functional requirements such as resilience, scalability, observability, and operational support readiness. Work with compliance, audit, and infosec to ensure architectural designs meet
regulatory standards (SOX, SEC, MiFID II, Basel, etc.) . Evaluate and implement open-source, cloud-native, and third-party tools as needed to accelerate platform capabilities. Required Qualifications 15+ years
of hands-on software development and architecture experience in large-scale, enterprise environments. Expert-level proficiency in Java and Python , with the ability to architect and optimize performant back-end systems. Deep understanding of
Capital Markets
business domains such as
Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives, Risk, or Regulatory Reporting . Experience building systems with
multithreading, memory management, performance tuning, and distributed computing . Strong knowledge of
messaging and event-driven architectures
(e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQ Series). Proficiency in working with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB, Redis). Experience with
CI/CD pipelines
,
Git
,
Jenkins
,
Docker
, and
Kubernetes
in a secure, regulated environment. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure) and hybrid deployments. Strong understanding of
secure software development , encryption, access controls, and compliance-driven engineering. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to liaise between technical and non-technical teams.
