Senior IBM Sterling B2Bi Integration Engineer The Senior IBM Sterling B2Bi Integration Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, debugging, maintenance, and documentation of software components following Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices. This role involves developing high-quality integration solutions using IBM Sterling B2Bi and related middleware platforms to support large-scale, high-performance enterprise applications. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables meet business and technical standards with the highest quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex integration solutions using IBM Sterling B2Bi and related tools.

Develop high-quality, reusable, and scalable code in alignment with established design patterns and architectural principles.

Lead design discussions and contribute to technical decisions that impact multiple projects or domains.

Execute development tasks according to established roadmaps, estimates, and work plans.

Implement and maintain EDI systems and data exchanges, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Support integration and automation initiatives using middleware technologies such as IBM MQ, Apigee, and Kafka.

Develop and maintain secure communications using protocols like AS2 and SFTP.

Work with IBM DataPower appliances for gateway and security integrations.

Support and optimize CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation processes.

Collaborate with enterprise teams to align with standards across operations, infrastructure, data, security, and applications.

Identify technology gaps and drive innovative solutions to modernize existing systems and processes.

Mentor team members in software development best practices, patterns, and design principles.

Manage and coordinate with offshore and cross-functional teams to deliver projects effectively.

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of hands‑on experience in software or infrastructure development.

Proven track record in designing and delivering large‑scale, high‑quality enterprise systems.

Expertise in EDI standards, compliance, and data transformation processes.

Strong understanding of object‑oriented design principles and software architecture patterns.

Deep knowledge of at least two of the following disciplines: APIs and middleware, Cloud computing, Infrastructure and network design, Database management, Operations and automation.

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Strong understanding of network and security architectures.

Desired Experience

Experience in system architecture and solution design.

Familiarity with FSMA compliance and data security practices.

Experience with cloud‑based architectures (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead technical teams in an inclusive environment.

Exposure to elastic and scalable systems design for performance and reliability.

Required Technical Skills

Proficient in IBM Sterling B2Bi for EDI design, configuration, and maintenance.

Strong knowledge of EDI formats such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XPath, BPML, XSLT, and XML Schemas.

Experience integrating systems using IBM MQ, Apigee, and Kafka.

Hands‑on experience with web technologies (Angular, Java, Spring Boot, SOAP/REST).
