Job Summary Assists in generating project budget estimates, updating estimates during design phases, negotiating changes during construction/installation, and compiling post‑mortem cost summaries. All work is performed under significant oversight from project controls / estimating leadership.

Major Responsibilities

Develop estimates, negotiate, and settle costs for all changes to the work, including specialty ride & show scopes, throughout the project.

Utilize project costs to develop metrics, reports, and summaries for leadership.

Support the estimating team during the buyout process, including RFP development, bid scoping, and final cost negotiation for all scopes.

Produce overall project cost summaries and presentations for all levels of company leadership.

Work with the project team to identify and report cost trends and risks.

Create “value engineering” components to mitigate cost overruns.

Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following UO policy, procedures, and training.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Proficient in estimating take‑off software (On‑Screen, BidScreenXL, etc.).

Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in architecture, engineering, show/ride design, and construction.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to interface with various departments, vendors, and contractors.

Strong organizational, analytical, logical reasoning, and problem‑solving abilities.

Detail oriented and able to orchestrate multiple activities simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.

Ability to work independently with little direction, maintaining focus on business priorities.

Ability to influence and guide a team.

Ability to negotiate cost changes with vendors and contractors.

Basic conflict resolution skills.

Consistent attendance is a job requirement.

Education Associate’s degree or technical school required. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or quantity surveying preferred.

Experience 3+ years on‑site construction and estimating experience on themed entertainment projects, knowledge of show and ride estimating and facility impacts required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
