We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Controller to join our leadership team for an industry-leading manufacturing site in Phoenix, AZ. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented financial leader with strong expertise in cost accounting, GAAP compliance, and general ledger management. The ideal candidate is comfortable working both strategically and autonomously ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective controls, and compliance across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of cost accounting within a manufacturing environment, including inventory, labor, overhead, and variance analysis.

Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP.

Manage the general ledger and ensure the integrity of all financial statements.

Partner closely with operations and executive leadership to provide financial insights, reporting, and forecasting.

Prepare and present reports for both executive management and operational teams, bridging high-level strategy with actionable detail.

Lead and support internal and external audits, ensuring strong internal controls and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Develop and improve financial processes, systems, and reporting tools to drive efficiency and accuracy.

Provide mentorship and leadership to finance team members, setting high standards for accountability and performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.

10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, GAAP, and internal controls.

Demonstrated expertise in month-end close and general ledger oversight.

Prior experience with audit preparation and management.

Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on role requiring both strategic insight and detailed execution.
