Overview Our growing Design & Manufacturing client is currently seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join their team. This person will handle the accounting processes including financial reporting, AP, AR, journal entries, account reconciliations, and more. Inventory or Manufacturing experience is not required, but this would be a great chance to gain that exposure and take the next step in your accounting career.
Strong attention to detail, a solid foundation of accounting skills, and a can‑do attitude is a must here!
Responsibilities
Perform and support day‑to‑day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, intercompany consolidations, and reconciliations.
Prepare accurate journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation in accordance with GAAP.
Contribute to the monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Partner with leadership and department heads to provide financial insights and support decision‑making.
Assist with key accounting functions including payables, receivables, payroll, and expense reporting.
Collaborate across teams to streamline close processes, strengthen internal controls, and drive process improvements.
Support external and internal audit activities, preparing documentation and implementing recommendations.
Identify and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, compliance, and overall accounting operations.
Perform special projects and other assignments as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
CPA or CPA actively in progress required; public accounting experience preferred
3+ years of experience in accounting including AP/AR and GL required
Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting concepts.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and adapt to shifting requirements in fast‑paced environments.
Strong experience in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems and SQL preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interpret complex regulations and prepare reports, correspondence, and procedural documentation.
Salary & Benefits
