Job Summary And Qualifications
You will oversee and direct the CTL department, which includes the Cell Processing, Cryopreservation, Cell Storage and Cell count by Flow cytometry.
You will oversee and directs procedure performed on cell therapy products, serves as a clinical resource, act as a role model for staff and will be the liaison between staff and upper management.
You will collaborate with the TCT Program Administrative Director in determining staff needs and identifying duties as assigned, and under the direction of the TCT Program Administrative Director and the CTL Medical Director, you will plan, coordinate, and direct the overall activities of the CTL department.
You will assume responsibility and accountability for efficient and effective management of personnel and financial resources for the CTL and establish and maintain quality control and quality improvement systems for all cell-processing procedures to ensure reliability of equipment and processing procedures and the competency of personnel for the optimization of patient care.
You will support the goals and mission of the Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program at MountainView Hospital.
Qualifications you will need:
Doctoral Degree, or equivalent degree in a relevant sciences (Chemistry, Biology, etc.) required
Current NV Medical Technologist License (ASCP) required
2+ years relevant leadership experience required; 3+ years relevant experience preferred
Minimum 4-5 years experience in cell processing/cryopreservation required
Practical expertise in flow cytometry in clinical laboratory required
Experience in multiparameter diagnostic flow cytometry, cell storing for cell enumeration (e.g. CD34) assays required
FACT Accreditation experience preferred
