Overview The D365 Applications Manager is a hands‑on leader responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations platform across POS, Warehousing, Finance, and CRM modules. This role is dedicated to all aspects of system architecture – ensuring seamless integrations, system customizations, and performance enhancements to meet business needs and improve operational efficiency. Reporting directly to senior leadership, this role will oversee and guide both internal teams and external vendors to ensure alignment with Cavender’s goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
Support the “Cavender’s Culture” and drive our Mission, Vision, and Values
Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of D365 F&O solutions across POS, Warehousing, Finance, and CRM modules
Take full ownership of all technical and functional specifications, including system design, customization, and documentation
Act as the solution architect for D365 F&O, designing scalable, effective solutions that improve operational efficiency and meet business requirements
Architect and implement integrations between D365 F&O and other enterprise systems
Oversee the customization and optimization of D365 F&O to improve performance and streamline business processes
Translate business requirements into actionable and technical specifications and ensure the successful delivery of these solutions
Provide guidance and expertise to business leaders, helping them understand system capabilities and potential enhancements
Manage and coordinate work with third‑party vendors ensuring that external teams adhere to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
Lead full lifecycle implementations, including configuration, testing, migration, and go‑live support for POS, Warehousing, Finance, and CRM modules
Continuously monitor system performance and initiate improvement initiatives to optimize the system, adapt to new business needs, and ensure smooth functionality
Troubleshoot and resolve critical issues as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
Lead, mentor, and support a team of internal resources while also managing external third‑party contractors or consultants
Qualifications and Requirements
5+ years of experience in Microsoft D365 F&O, with a deep focus on POS, Warehousing, Finance, and CRM modules
Previous experience supporting D365 F&O within a retail organization is strongly preferred
Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Solution Architect Expert
Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate
Proven track record as a Solution Architect, including experience leading complex implementations and system customizations
Extensive experience managing third‑party vendors (onshore and offshore) and coordinating cross‑functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
Ability to interpret documents
Ability to apply abstract principles to a wide range of complex tasks
Ability to understand the meanings of words and effectively respond
Ability to comprehend complex issues and communicate
Associate must be able to read English.
Associate must be able to understand English
Associate must be able to stay alert during work hours assigned
Based in Tyler, TX at our home office; Tyler area residence.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Preferred Skills
Strong technical and functional expertise in D365 F&O, with a focus on architecture, customization, integration, and troubleshooting
Experience leading large‑scale ERP implementations, from system design through to go‑live and post go‑live support
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work effectively with business leaders and technical teams alike
Proven ability to tactically support requests, ensuring that business needs are met while managing both long‑term and immediate priorities
