Role Summary Our vibrant and dynamic team is large and consists of perfusionists from varied backgrounds and levels of experience. You will be involved in the operation of cardiovascular perfusion for a variety of surgical and therapeutic procedures including routine and complex CPB procedures, lung and heart transplants, VAD implants, TAVRs, and ECMO procedures. Our perfusionists also work alongside an ever-growing team of ECMO specialists that provide around-the-clock, in-house coverage for our ECMO program. This opportunity is fantastic for a certified perfusionist or new graduate that wants to work with a close-knit perfusion group in a growing program. An ideal candidate is dependable, detailed, and able to work both collaboratively and independently, depending on the situation.
Job Description
To operate the heart‑lung machine as a member of the open heart surgery team.
To operate extracorporeal circulation and autotransfusion equipment during any medical situation where it is necessary to support or temporarily replace the patient’s circulatory or respiratory function.
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited Cardiovascular Perfusion education program. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Credentialed as certified in Clinical Perfusion by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion within two (2) years of hire date to classification required.
