Centerpoint Medical Center is seeking a qualified
Medical Laboratory Scientist
to join our dedicated team of clinical science professionals. The role involves performing routine and complex laboratory tests across multiple sections, including toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology, to support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment.

Job Summary The Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) conducts routine and complex laboratory tests in multiple sections to facilitate patient care. Key responsibilities include:
Perform chemical, bacteriological, serological, and microscopic procedures across one or more laboratory sections.
Produce accurate results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, and other designated areas.
Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, calibrating equipment, verifying equipment function through routine maintenance, and monitoring quality control measures and protocols.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in laboratory science or related science required OR “Grandfathered” as a medical technologist by CLIA 88.
Certification: MT (ASCP), CLS (NCA), MLS (ASCP) or appropriate BB (ASCP), C (ASCP), I (ASCP), H (ASCP), or M (ASCP) required OR registry/certification eligible.
Registry/certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
Preferred experience in laboratory testing and quality assurance.
