Job Purpose:
As a licensed dentist, you will deliver comprehensive general dentistry services, including diagnosis and treatment of diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums, and related oral structures.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform general dentistry services, including diagnosis and treatment of diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums, and related oral structures.
Examine patients and determine the nature of conditions using X-rays, dental instruments, and other diagnostic procedures.
Clean, fill, extract, and replace teeth using rotary and hand instruments, dental appliances, medications, and surgical implements.
Provide preventive dental services and education on oral and dental hygiene.
Coordinate laboratory services for the dental office.
Adhere to safety protocols, including protective equipment and OSHA/Bloodborne pathogen requirements.
Participate in morning huddles, chart reviews, and routine office meetings.
Perform additional duties as required by applicable state laws and regulations.
Additional Responsibilities
Commit to quality patient care and enjoy educating patients about dental health.
Demonstrate effective communication skills and a professional, courteous demeanor with patients.
Qualifications
DDS or DMD degree; licensed in the state of practice or able to obtain licensure.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate.
Completion of a general practice residency (GPR) or advanced education general dentistry residency (AEGD) preferred.
