Director, Cloud Partner Business Development Join Cognite as Director, Cloud Partner Business Development and lead the development of strategic cloud partnerships regionally through driving expansion, adoption, and joint value with our major cloud partners.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute business plans with strategic cloud partners in the Americas to elevate Cognite awareness and achieve adoption of Cognite Data Fusion (CDF) across all partner projects.

Identify and cultivate key relationships within strategic cloud partners, securing executive sponsorship and alignment in verticals focused on solution alignment and joint outcomes.

Manage partner pipeline and lead early‑stage qualification through sales maturity, preparing partners for handoff to direct sales teams.

Represent Cognite portfolio at partner regional customer events and high‑level technical alignment.

Align partner business goals, KPIs, and strategy to deliver shared revenue goals and progress commercial strategy.

Work with the Global Partner & Alliance team to leverage predefined content and drive go‑to‑market alignment with partner market offerings.

Coordinate handoff with Direct Sales and cross‑functional internal teams (Product, CS, Marketing, Legal, Operations, Finance).

Qualifications

10+ years in the Software industry with strategic partner relationship experience driving high growth recurring revenue.

High‑tech SaaS partnership experience with Microsoft, AWS, or similar cloud partners.

Experience in the industrial space (Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Energy) highly desired.

Commercial acumen to interpret partner business requirements and develop commercial solutions.

Excellent communication skills and ability to construct a compelling narrative for partner engagement.

Proven ability to influence and work with senior individuals in large organizations across multiple industry sectors.

Strong empathy, relationship skills, and cross‑functional collaboration experience.

Experience in fast‑paced, high‑growth companies a plus.

Business development, strategic negotiations, partner management, and program building experience.

Strategic, structured thinker with the ability to articulate new concepts and business models to drive joint success.
