Visitor Information Program Assistant II

Salary:
$3,471 to $4,388 per month (SR-10, Steps C - I)
Location:
Kona (Delegated)
Shift:
Rotating shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities:
Greet, welcome, and assist the traveling public in providing information on hotels, accommodations, ground and air transportation, tourist attractions, and activities.
Disseminate maps, brochures, and periodicals at the airport.
Speak a designated foreign language and provide interpreter services as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of progressively responsible experience in hospitality or customer service to traveling public.
Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions; high verbal skill.
Basic experience: High school diploma or equivalent, plus continuous part‑time or unpaid experience demonstrating instruction comprehension.
Language requirement: Must be able to speak one of the following languages (in addition to English): Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, Tagalog, Hawaiian, Samoan.
Driver’s license required.
Eligible for SIDA clearance with no disqualifying federal criminal conviction within ten years.
Legal authorization to work in the United States (citizen, national, permanent resident, or eligible under federal law).
