Position Overview:

Siemens Mobility, Inc. is growing in Chicago. We seek a Service Operations Team Lead to lead onsite maintenance of Venture Coaches. Primary impact focuses on local team leadership, technical/material support, customer experience, and communication with internal/external stakeholders. Your mission is to continually identify improvement opportunities and manage potential risks.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Operate and promote a safe working environment and report close calls and incidents promptly.

Schedule Siemens Technical Support team availability.

Maintain rapport with Amtrak management and personnel; support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.

Give mentorship and feedback regarding performance, quality, and productivity.

Support service contract projects, initiatives, and commitments such as material orders, technical training, and asset management.

Ensure quality of work at the assigned facility.

Work with the local customer to generate ideas and procedures for future efficiency and communicate with Siemens management.

Perform material transactions to support the fleet as needed.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GED.

Minimum 2+ years experience in an industrial or maintenance environment related to technical field service.

Minimum 3 years experience with direct customer service.

Demonstrated understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering fundamentals.

Experience with Microsoft Office suite for reports, presentations, email, spreadsheets.

Ability to connect with executives, local craft, and customers effectively.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Background in rolling stock maintenance and commissioning or other rail-related experience is a differentiator.

Base salary range: $90,300-$121,900.
