You are proactive, well prepared, and take initiative. You take pride in your work and want to ensure facilities and its grounds are well-maintained, safe, and comfortable for employees and visitors. You have experience with facilities management and construction, can diagnose and triage issues quickly, and communicate clearly with contractors and vendors while managing timing and budget. You work with construction contractors and value attention to detail. Facilities

Ensure the facility needs of the Legal Department are met, including 24-hour on-call service, routine facility and equipment inspections, and safe, timely, and cost-effective maintenance either personally or through a vendor Independently establish, administer, and manage the service and maintenance program of internal environmental controls (HVAC), all facilities infrastructure and equipment including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration systems, life safety systems, IT systems, and security systems Review building equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate problems, and resolve issues in a timely manner, including potential Capital Improvements for DC Office buildings Collaborate with DC office personnel, Security, and IT to test equipment and maintain a consistent work environment; complete weekly/daily inspections with the Legal Operations Assistant Identify and manage service/maintenance contracts, including preventative and corrective maintenance, pest control, and related financial agreements; evaluate RFPs; ensure contracts align with department goals; resolve contract disputes Create and maintain SOPs and operation manuals; collaborate with Administrative Assistant to manage drawings and vendor documents Maintain corporate safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures Work with Corporate Real Estate to ensure regulatory compliance and initiate improvements to utilities systems for reliability and efficiency Manage annual facility budget and track spending Vendor Liaison

Coordinate construction/renovation projects to meet scope, schedule, and budget Coordinate questions from the GC or contractors to electricians, plumbers, HVAC, etc., to minimize escalations Support day-to-day project management tasks, including communication, scheduling, and issue tracking Review and track contractor schedules and develop look-ahead schedules for the legal project team Execute other project management tasks as assigned by the legal project team Minimum Requirements

H.S. Diploma or GED with 9+ years of construction/project management and facilities experience, or Associate’s Degree with 7+ years of construction/project management and facilities experience, or Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of construction/project management and facilities experience Strong organizational and systems implementation skills Solid fundamental computer skills (email, Microsoft Suite, etc.) Strong communication and organizational skills, both oral and written Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field Knowledge and experience with Facilities Management programs Job Location

This position is located in the Washington, D.C. offices of United Therapeutics. Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $92,000 to $105,000 per year and is eligible for the company’s short-term and long-term incentive programs. The posted range may be modified in the future and no amount is wages or compensation until earned or vested under applicable policies.
