Assistant Store Manager – Tanger Outlets Foley, AL Spring Step Shoes

We are hiring an Assistant Store Manager to lead our retail store at Tanger Outlets Foley.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the Store Manager to foster a positive, results‑driven culture and lead day‑to‑day operations.
Drive sales and customer experience through team‑selling, coaching, and training.
Recruit, develop, and retain top talent and manage performance in the store’s absence.
Ensure proper merchandising, marketing initiatives, and store displays.
Maintain operational oversight: bank deposits, opening/closing procedures, inventory management, and compliance with store balances.
Lead loss prevention and security policies and protect store assets.
Key Outputs / Results
Establish a sales culture through incentives and brand promotion.
Maintain staffing levels and communicate goals clearly.
Ensure store asset security and inventory accuracy.
Essential Qualifications
Knowledge of footwear or fashion retail is a plus.
At least 1 year retail experience in a sales‑driven environment.
Strong sales and service execution track record.
Basic software proficiency and POS system experience.
Strong problem‑solving and customer‑first mindset.
Physical requirements: lift up to 40 lbs, climb an 8‑ft ladder, stand for long periods, bend as needed.
Flexible schedule: nights, weekends, holidays.
Teamwork, interpersonal skills, and leadership to motivate a positive culture.
