JOB TITLE - COST MANAGER - DATA CENTER CONSTRUCTION
LOCATION - CHARLESTON, SC AREA

Role description
At Arcadis we contribute to data center construction throughout the U.S. We seek experienced construction Cost Managers with deep skills in complex capital construction or data centers.
Please note, Cost Managers need to be on-site every day!
Role accountabilities
Support Project Teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide project-level reports, including detailed cost and change analysis.
Maintain and control budgets from design concept through to project completion.
Assist with change management and control total project costs (general contractors, direct suppliers, and professional appointments).
Analyze projects to ensure adequate funding by performing estimates, cost forecasts, cost trends, and accrual of actual costs.
Develop cost estimates for civil, structural, architectural, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical disciplines.
Prepare material, labor, and equipment cost estimates for concept designs, design development documents, bid documents, and change orders.
Estimate and negotiate potential change orders.
Complete cost validation and quantity surveying on an as-needed basis.
Monitor and audit compliance.
Reconcile program and project controls data with the client’s fiscal and financial controls systems.
Present results of cost analyses to senior staff and clients.
Qualifications & Experience
5+ years of relevant experience with data center construction projects or complex capital construction projects.
Strong software skills: Primavera P6, Excel, MS Office, Power BI, etc.
Understanding of the construction project process.
Ability to engage with the client and key stakeholders at all levels using exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent work experience.
