Managing Consultant at Finatal US - CFO Practice
Utica, New York - on-site (you must be within a commutable distance to commit to 4 days per week OR genuinely open to relocation)
circa $300k base + bonus
The Opportunity Finatal are partnering with a private equity backed food manufacturing business which has achieved impressive growth in the last 3 years and received investment from a reputable private equity fund which focuses exclusively on consumer brands. The CFO will lead and oversee all financial operations, drive strategic initiatives to support continued expansion, and partner closely with both the CEO and the investment team to shape the next phase of growth. This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader to join a dynamic, consumer-focused business poised for further scale and value creation.
The Responsibilities
Lead all financial operations in line with GAAP and industry standards.
Partner with the CEO and leadership team on long-term strategy, growth, and investment decisions.
Evaluate and advise on M&A, partnerships, and corporate initiatives to maximize profitability.
Oversee accurate reporting, budgeting, and forecasting across all entities.
Drive cost efficiency and margin improvement through stronger financial controls and operational oversight.Ensure compliance with all financial and regulatory requirements.
Cash Flow & Treasury
Manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital planning to support business growth.
Maintain strong relationships with lenders and financial institutions to optimize funding.
Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and regulatory risks.
Align financial governance with sustainability and corporate responsibility goals.
Build and develop a high-performing finance team with a culture of accountability and growth.
Stakeholder Engagement
Communicate performance and strategy to the CEO, Board, and investors.
Partner cross-functionally to drive informed decision-making and financial discipline.
Oversee debt reporting and analysis to ensure transparency and sound capital management.
Systems & Reporting
Lead implementation and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics (or equivalent ERP) for accurate, real-time reporting.
Prepare and present concise quarterly board materials with key metrics, insights, and outlooks.
The Requirements
Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
CPA, CFA, or other relevant financial certifications are a plus.
