Position Summary
Jet Support Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced and strategic Cloud Infrastructure Lead to join our team. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in Azure, demonstrated experience in leading cross‑functional initiatives, and expertise in designing resilient infrastructure solutions and implementing disaster recovery strategies. The Cloud Infrastructure Lead will play a critical role in ensuring our systems are high‑performing, reliable, and secure.
Duties and Responsibilities
Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions to meet the needs of the business, primarily leveraging Azure PaaS and IaaS services.
Deploy and maintain Azure services including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, Managed SQL Instances, Virtual Machines, Key Vaults, and Logic Apps.
Design, implement, and maintain observability, monitoring, and alerting systems to proactively track application performance and system health.
Administer Entra ID and create Application Registrations, Enterprise Applications, and Managed Identities to secure the organization’s applications.
Implement and support cloud network and security services, including Azure Firewall, Azure Front Door, Application Gateways, and Network Security Groups.
Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform and Bicep to automate cloud resource provisioning and other processes.
Lead complex cross‑team initiatives to evaluate new system architectures and emerging technologies and drive disaster recovery and business continuity improvements.
Lead incident response to ensure issues are communicated and resolved expediently.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team.
Create and enforce cloud governance policies and optimize costs.
Respond to security alerts to eradicate threats within the environment, remediate vulnerabilities, and oversee Cloud Security Posture Management.
Create and maintain system architecture and procedural documentation.
Participate in on‑call rotation and perform off‑hours support and maintenance as required.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Credentials
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in Information Technology roles.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience supporting the Azure Cloud Computing Platform with an emphasis on AKS, Managed SQL Instances, and other PaaS services.
Advanced knowledge of network and security protocols and expertise with Azure private networking, Azure Front Door, Application Gateway, and Azure Firewall.
Experience with automation, Infrastructure as Code tools, and scripting languages, particularly PowerShell.
Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management best practices and experience with Microsoft Entra ID.
Experience implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Proven experience leading cross‑functional initiatives.
Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in cloud infrastructure.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Experience with M365 and Cisco Meraki networking administration is a plus.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, CCNA) are a plus.
For this role, the annual base pay generally ranges from $145,000 to $150,000, with the final offer determined by variable factors including but not limited to market location, job‑specific knowledge, skills, education, and experience. In addition, the total rewards package may include an annual discretionary bonus plan, incentive or sales bonus plan, or other form of additional compensation, based on the role.
