Qualifications

Two to three years of experience as a server; fine dining experience preferred

Food handling certificate where applicable

Alcoholic awareness program certificate where applicable

Basic reading, writing and mathematical skills

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Strong organization and time management skills

Ability to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and/or employees

Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages; 21 to pour

Responsibilities

Provide a high level of customer service at all times

Anticipate residents’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests

Maintain complete knowledge of restaurant operations, table set‑up and dress code

Work closely with Food & Beverage Director and/or General Manager to keep residents satisfied with food and beverage programs

Set tables in accordance to Coterie standards

Serve residents and guests meals and beverages as requested

Adhere to state liquor regulations and standard food safety practices

Take and deliver accurate meal orders to residents and guests

Remove used or soiled plates, utensils, glasses, linen from the dining room as needed

Clean and reset tables immediately after residence and guests depart

Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals

Process payments through the POS

When applicable, acquaint new residents with menus, seating, and dining options and hours

Clean and sanitize carpet, tables, chairs, condiment containers, and equipment used in the dining room

Complete side duties as assigned: cleanliness, quality and amount of all restaurant stock and supplies using checklist; fold napkins

Review reservations and accommodate requests and exceed expectations for pre‑assigned tables as necessary

Create a strong sense of teamwork and cooperation among all staff

Attend pre‑meal stand‑up held for all dining and kitchen staff

May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned
