Job Description The Industrial Engineer is a problem‑solver, change agent, and designer responsible for driving manufacturing initiatives. This role involves designing and managing projects focused on enhancing process flows, utilizing value stream mapping, and employing 5S methodologies. The objective is to provide streamlined processes and improved efficiencies within the plant.
Responsibilities
Drive manufacturing initiatives including process flows and value stream mapping.
Implement 5S methodologies to enhance production efficiency.
Conduct and evaluate large data sets to optimize manufacturing processes.
Design and manage projects to improve process efficiencies.
Engage in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices.
Perform time studies and process engineering to enhance production line balance.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing.
Proven experience with lean six sigma and time studies.
Strong project management skills.
Industrial engineering expertise.
Experience in continuous improvement and process flow optimization.
Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
Strong understanding of manufacturing engineering.
Ability to evaluate and analyze large data sets.
Familiarity with AutoCAD for design and engineering purposes.
Work Environment The work environment is a large manufacturing facility, approximately 500,000 square feet, focused on producing sheet metal shelving units. Engineers will have office spaces above the manufacturing floor for easy access to production lines. The role primarily involves floor work alongside production support, contributing to a flexible and casual dress code work environment. Pay & Benefits The pay range for this position is $85,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year.
