Signal Processing Engineer – Electronic Warfare
Leidos Innovations Center (LInC) at Leidos is hiring a Signal Processing Engineer to support electronic warfare (EW) programs in Arlington, VA or San Diego, CA. The role focuses on improving the robustness and efficacy of sensors and signals in complex environments and advancing research and advanced applications for future EW programs.
Regular Tasks
Develop, model, and test algorithms in MATLAB, Simulink, or C++.
Analyze simulation and real data to identify root causes and trends.
Create novel algorithms and performance simulations in both time‑series and spectral domains.
Participate in lab‑based and field testing.
Support marketing and business development initiatives.
Engage in multiple projects and interact with customers.
Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizen.
Active Secret clearance and eligibility for TS/SCI clearance.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
4+ years’ experience in radar signal processing.
Fluency with MATLAB, Linux, Mathematica, Python, Simulink, and languages such as C/C++, Java.
Strong knowledge of digital filtering, spectral estimation, detection and estimation theory, linear algebra, and stochastic processes.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Team‑environment and independent work ability.
Adaptability and strong motivation to learn and grow.
Preferred Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance preferred.
Master’s degree in related field.
Task lead or team leadership experience.
Experience translating functional requirements into tasks.
Experience in modeling and simulation (M&S), radar, adaptive radar, signal processing, algorithm development, synthetic aperture radar (SAR) or similar fields.
Pay Range $85,150.00 – $153,925.00 (general guideline only). Compensation may be influenced by responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
