Senior Engineer – Composites Materials, Process, & Physics Engineer (MP&P)
Location: Berkeley, MO.

Responsibilities
Lead the development and optimization of composite materials—prepregs, adhesives, and core materials—and related consumables.
Define and validate manufacturing processes (e.g., layup, curing/autoclave/out-of-autoclave processing, consolidation) to be used on production programs.
Lead a team of MP&P engineers to collect, analyze, and summarize experimental data; review and approve test reports and present findings broadly across the company and externally.
Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and process control plans for production transitions.
Lead root‑cause investigations and corrective actions for material and process related nonconformances.
Lead supplier evaluations and material qualification activities.
Shape Contract Research and Development and internally funded research and development programs focused on maturing composite technologies for BDS programs.
Follow safety, quality and environmental procedures in the lab and manufacturing areas.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.
9+ years of experience in new material development and insertion; composite manufacturing process development.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Engineering degree.
Deep understanding of composite materials and processing methods.
Strong knowledge of standard materials testing methods.
Strong knowledge of composite design considerations and failure modes.
Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various engineering departments/disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact non‑engineering processes.
Strong problem solving and experimental skills; ability to apply knowledge of materials engineering and scientific principles to develop, design, analyze, test, and validate solutions for complex systems, sub‑systems and designs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to prepare clear test reports and presentations.
Experience mentoring and training early career engineers.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with data analysis tools.
Willingness to work in lab/manufacturing environments.
Travel 10%
