About the role

RIC is seeking one Systems Administrator to be a reference point for all IT related queries at the user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other technical duties. The ideal candidate must be able to adapt to a wide variety of duties, project deadlines and commitments and many other aspects of IT.

Primary Responsibilities

Supports the IT Manager and effectively conducts assigned duties

Configuration & deployment of technology devices

Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk

Support for hardware or software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting for all technology users

Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory of hardware and software resources

Training for end users on technology and software

Install and maintain file replication on multiple servers in multiple locations

Monitor servers and effectively plan and deploy the backup strategies

Promptly apply latest patches or updates for the operating system / software

Efficiently setup access control and permissions

Accurately document instances of desktop equipment or component failure, repair, installation, and removal

Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future desktop hardware needs

Administer servers, laptop and desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, virtual private networks, drivers, phones, security updates and patches.

Administer Microsoft Azure Portal; manage user/group access, permissions, RBAC, and multifactor authentication for Enterprise Systems.

Develop, deploy, and enforce conditional access policies.

Develop and direct implementation of security standards and best practices for the organization.

Provide input into the product vision and roadmap for internal agency tools and experiences that support customer acquisition, retention and satisfaction

Manage Microsoft 365 and Exchange Portals.

Administer SharePoint and Teams.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years equivalent work experience

Microsoft Windows 10, 11

Windows 2019 Server, Windows 2022 Server

Microsoft Office

SonicWall experience a plus

AutoCAD and MicroStation experience a plus

Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Able to read and understand technical manuals

Must be dependable, prompt, and willing to take initiative

Must have a strong work ethic and positive attitude

Maintain and expand knowledge base in area of expertise

Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, owners, subconsultants, and clients, via the phone or face to face to explain solutions

Ability to assume responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments with minimal supervision
