$89,353.25 - $111,691.57 Compensation for this position will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. Final pay may vary depending on factors such as prior experience, expertise, and specific requirements of the role. What you'll do

Responsible for the day-to-day oversight and the growth and development of the consumer lending staff, which includes Underwriters and Processors. Responsible for scheduling to ensure the Consumer Loan area is staffed and fully operational. Assist with the interviewing and selection of new staff. Assess and manage performance and provide ongoing training, assistance and advice for Consumer Loan staff members, along with other HFCU departments, as needed. Ultimately responsible for the integrity and continuous improvement of the consumer loan underwriting, processing, and funding processes. Oversee the lending underwriting process, assess the functionality of current processes and provide and implement recommendations for changes as needed or required. Provide ongoing/regular training sessions and focus around skill development. With a focus on consistent and high-quality member experience, a Team Lead should be continuously looking for and implementing process improvements to ensure consistent and quick loan decisions. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure relevant stakeholders are informed of and adequately trained in necessary processes. Act as a change agent within relevant business lines, ensuring that staff members understand HFCU's mission, vision, and values and the connection between these and their work and receive relevant messages and corporate communications consistently and in a timely manner. Maintains knowledge of compliance laws applicable to fair lending including Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Regulation Z (Truth-in-Lending), Fair Credit Reporting Act and other state and federal laws that may be applicable. Be proficient in analyzing application information for accuracy and completeness; be proficient in identifying information provided by dealers and borrowers that may be inconsistent. Recognizing and escalating potentially fraudulent applications. Approve, deny, and counter loan applications within lending authority limits. Analyze employment profile, credit history and strength, collateral, and all other information pertinent to the credit decision process on each lending application. Condition loans for approval if necessary, providing stipulations as needed to support loan documentation and quality. Evaluate and verify the accuracy of the loan product and pricing for each loan. Identify all possible counteroffer situations to ensure the applicant’s options are fully determined and that fair lending and adherence to policy and procedures has been applied, in all cases, including Reg B. Become adept with all current consumer lending software. Utilize consumer lending software for loan production reports to manage pipeline in a timely manner. Participate in and lead cross-functional projects in support of HFCU's strategic focus. Perform such additional tasks as may be required or requested from time to time. Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required

Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise. Mental and/or Emotional Requirements

Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters. Must be authorized to work in the US

3‑5 years of strong Consumer Underwriting and Consumer Lending experience, with 1‑3 years supervisory experience. Licenses & Certifications
