Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
to drive product evolution and platform performance with
deep hands-on engineering leadership .
Position Summary The CTO will lead the technology strategy and execution across software development, video and AI system architecture, cloud infrastructure, and product scalability. This is not a purely executive role—this leader must be
comfortable with keyboard-in-hand leadership , capable of writing code, architecting complex systems, and mentoring engineering talent through fast-paced cycles of innovation and delivery.
You will work closely with product, design, and executive leadership to deliver intelligent, responsive, and scalable solutions that enhance operational awareness and decision-making in high-stakes environments.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Technology Leadership
Set and communicate the long-term technology vision, architecture, and roadmap with a focus on AI, real-time video, and geospatial analytics.
Align engineering efforts with product strategy and customer requirements across multiple high-value use cases.
Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and executive team on emerging technologies, scalability challenges, and infrastructure investments.
Engineering Oversight
Lead, mentor, and scale a distributed team of engineers, data scientists, and DevOps professionals.
Establish technical standards, development best practices, and a high-performance engineering culture.
Drive hiring, performance management, and the development of engineering leaders.
Hands-On Development & Architecture
Actively contribute to high-impact initiatives including video processing pipelines, AI model integration, and low-latency system architecture.
Perform code reviews, troubleshoot platform performance, and lead architectural planning.
Champion continuous integration, automated testing, and platform reliability at scale.
Product Development and AI/Video Innovation
Partner with product leaders to design intelligent, customer-focused features that leverage AI-driven insights, object detection, and real-time video feeds.
Own the architecture and delivery of AI inference pipelines, video ingestion systems, and data visualization tools.
Integrate third-party video systems (e.g., VMS platforms, surveillance feeds) with proprietary AI engines and real-time alerting logic.
Security and Compliance
Implement best-in-class security protocols across infrastructure, data, and user access.
Guide platform compliance with government and industry standards, such as FedRAMP, SOC 2, or CJIS.
Ideal Candidate Profile Must-Have Qualifications
10+ years of engineering leadership, including CTO or VP Engineering roles in SaaS or real-time data platforms.
Extensive
hands-on experience with video technologies , streaming media, or video surveillance systems (e.g., RTSP, ONVIF, VMS).
Strong background in
AI/ML technologies , particularly in real-time video analytics, computer vision, or edge inference pipelines.
Deep familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and distributed systems.
Fluent in TypeScript, Python, Java, or equivalent modern development stacks.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Experience integrating AI models into live production systems at scale.
Knowledge of GPU optimization, AI inference frameworks (e.g., TensorRT, OpenVINO, ONNX), or edge compute platforms.
Background in geospatial visualization (Mapbox, Cesium, Leaflet) or time-series/event data.
Familiarity with public sector platforms or environments supporting national security, defense, or public safety use cases.
