Located in Chicago, Illinois, Sciaky's world headquarters occupies more than 140,000 square feet of clean and modern facilities. All welding services, design, manufacturing, hardware and software development, testing, as well as research and development is conducted here.

As the Electrical Design Engineer with Sciaky, you will be responsible for electrical and controls design for Sciaky products in a cost effective manner, following our Quality Management Systems to assure compliance with standards and specifications. This will include design of system schematics, electrical wiring and panel layouts. This position is based at our Chicago office (near Midway Airport) and offers a complete and competitive compensationandbenefits package.

QUALIFICATIONS * Knowledgable in servo and motion control

Must be able to interpret product/machine specifications derived from internal and external sources. Execute designs that meet customer requirements with minimal supervision.

Experience designing power distribution and related control circuits, process controls and drive systems. Familiarization with equipment powered by 480/400/600/220 VAC 3ph. 50/60hz, 10 to 400 amps. (International requirements)

Experience with designs that conform to electrical standards and safety codes.

Experience releasing electrical drawings packages for manufacture. Must possess strong documentation/drawing revision control background.

Experience designing with EPLAN Electric P8 and Bentley Microstation V8 CAD system.

Experience designing and creating documentation for electrical panels consisting of assembly and wiring drawings, BOM's, and associated layout drawings.

Experience sizing and specifying electrical components on electrical panels, such as: circuit breakers, fuses, contactors, relays, low voltage power supplies, transformers, terminal strips, I/O devices, and wire-ducts.

Electrical panel designs also include interfacing to process control and motion system components, such as, brushless motor drive and stepper motor drive amplifiers, PLC's, and CNC's.

Five to ten years of experience designing industrial electrical/electronic equipment and machinery for use in the aeronautic, automotive, etc. industries

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Position requires full-time work at the Sciaky facility. (Chicago, IL.)

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

Five years of electrical engineering experience

Experience designing to the requirements of established industry quality standards (i.e. ISO 9001)

Proficiency using computer based data entry systems such as MS Office.
