Journeyman Software Quality Assurance Tester-Engineer

Essnova Solutions, Inc., an award‑winning federal contractor with SBA 8(a) and HUBZone certifications, seeks a Journeyman QA Tester‑Engineer to support HRD’s mission of delivering reliable, accurate, and compliant software for HR and payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute software test plans to identify defects and verify system functionality.
• Document and evaluate test results, preparing reports for stakeholders.
• Conduct regression, performance, and load testing.
• Detect, log, and track bugs or program glitches, coordinating with developers for resolution.
• Ensure Section 508 compliance through manual and automated accessibility testing.
• Integrate testing into Agile development workflows, including participation in design walkthroughs and sprint reviews.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software quality assurance or testing experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal government background investigation (NACI).
• Experience with automated test tools and frameworks.
• Familiarity with regression, load, and performance testing tools.
• Knowledge of Agile and DevSecOps testing integration.
• Experience with JAWS or other accessibility testing applications.
